Franco-German apprenticeship track double Bachelor's degree in International Business

Beginning in September 2016, for the 2016-2017 academic year, Université Paris-Dauphine will open a Franco-German apprenticeship track double degree program in International Business in partnership with the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW), in Mannheim, Germany.

Overview

This innovative program combines apprenticeship and academic excellence to give students an immersive international academic and work experience. It brings together two academic programs of excellence: Université Paris-Dauphine's Bachelor's degree in the Organizational Sciences and DHBW's Bachelor's in International Business.
The fact that it is an exclusively apprenticeship track program should facilitate access to all students regardless of their financial resources.
Students who successfully complete the program will be professionally tri-lingual in French, German and English; they will be familiar with intercultural professional settings and will have acquired real international professional experience.

A 100% Franco-German student body

The double degree program will welcome approximately 30 students per year. Université Paris-Dauphine and DHBW  are each responsible for selecting half of the cohort. Semesters 1, 2 and 3 of the program are taught at DHBW in Mannheim while Semesters 4, 5 and 6 are taught at Université Paris-Dauphine in Paris. Classes are taught in English, underscoring the program's international character.

Students rotate between Work and Study and between German and French culture

The program is organized in 3-month modules:  3 months of academic training followed by 3 months of professional apprenticeship. Thanks to the "rotation" organization, host companies can assign their student apprentices to different teams and different facilities, including locations outside of France or Germany, for each successive rotation. Host companies are required to respect French apprenticeship regulations and French Labor Law.

Admissions

The Franco-German apprenticeship track double Bachelor's degree in International Business is open to students from Lycée Français de l'étranger (LFE) in German-speaking countries and students from the German-speaking sections of International Schools who have spent significant time in a German-speaking environment.
Selection is based on academic merit and written and spoken proficiency in both English and German. Students who are considered eligible for admissions will be interviewed before a final admissions decision is taken.
Applicants for admission to the Franco-German apprenticeship track double Bachelor's degree in International Business for the 2016-2017 academic year should submit their applications via Dauphine's Boléro on-line system (bolero.dauphine.fr) from February 8th through April 4th 2016.
